Piscine Molitor

The Piscine Molitor is an aquatic and hotel complex bordering the Bois de Boulogne, between the Roland-Garros stadium and the Parc des Princes, in the 16th arrondissement of Paris.

Inaugurated in 1929 by Olympic medal-winning swimmers Aileen Riggin Soule and Johnny Weissmuller, it remained famous for its Art Deco décor and for events such as the first appearance of the bikini after 1945. Nicknamed 'the white ocean liner,' it closed its doors in 1989. Wikipedia ↗
